Fire and Sword is a computer video game in the RPG genre, the events of which unfold in the middle of the XVII century. The main feature of the game is the presence of a storyline here and the fact that the actions take place in a real historical universe, and not in a fictional world, as in the previous parts of the Mount & Blade line.

A domestic team called Studio SICH worked on the creation of the game.

Plot

There are several story campaigns available in the game:

1. Lithuanian-Polish – it is necessary to repel the attack of the Swedes, defeat Bogdan Khmelnitsky and decide what kind of great state (republic or monarchy) will be.
2. Cossacks is the most interesting campaign, during which it is necessary to reveal the secret of the ancient Olgovich family. Several rulers will try to find the secret of the family at once, because the one who gets to the truth can become the greatest sovereign of Europe.
3. Moscow – the opportunity is given to join the uprising of Stepan Razin, who wants to seize the throne of the Moscow state.

Gameplay

The events take place on a large map of Eastern Europe, on which you can travel as a character created by yourself. According to the map, which contains cities and villages, only generals can move. Battles take place not on a strategic, but on a tactical map, which opens only if the commanders converge in battle.

The number of soldiers in the army of one commander depends on his leadership skills. Units differ by type of troops: infantry, riflemen, cavalry, and so on. Battles take place in real time, where the user can personally control only his commander, as well as give orders to the army.

The commander (character) can be improved by increasing the level and improving his characteristics. In addition, the main character can be enhanced with more expensive and deadly weapons, as well as armor.
