Until Dawn is a console video game in the genre of interactive dramatic action with elements of horror and survival simulator, the events of which unfold around the confrontation of a small group of friends against a malicious and mysterious homicidal maniac, and in fact – the ancient monster Wendigo (as it turns out in the finale of the story).

A team called Supermassive Games worked on the creation of the project.

Plot

The plot of the game is divided into two time periods. The first tells the backstory, during which a group of ten young people gather for a winter vacation in a small mountain cottage. The fun is in full swing, but after one prank, two girls find themselves in a snowstorm, after which they disappear without a trace – the police could not find their bodies.

After a year, the remaining friends gather in the same cottage, where strange events begin to happen again. At first, the heroes believe that they are being hunted by a maniac, but in fact – here in the jungles of Canada there lives an ancient creature called a wendigo. It is it that drags one person after another to satisfy its hunger.

Gameplay

Until Dawn is quite a remarkable project with an amazing acting, a high level of graphics and a dramatic and very unpredictable plot, which is its main strength.

Among the key gameplay features of the cinematic drama , it is necessary to highlight:

• the "butterfly effect" system has been implemented - every decision will have a consequence, and in none of the cases is it clear what exactly the consequence of decisions will be: positive or negative;
• the need to make important decisions throughout the passage – the lives of the characters, the degree of disclosure of the story and the ending, of which several dozen variants were invented, will depend on them;
• lack of an autosave system;
• replayability – in order to learn the story completely and get to the truth, it is better to go through it several times;
