Mafia 2 is a computer video game in the genre of adventure action and shooter with a third–person view with elements of a car simulator, the events of which unfold in the middle of the twentieth century. In the center of the plot is a young Vito, a war veteran who decided to become a member of the mafia in order to ensure a rich life for himself and his family.

Plot

Vito fights in World War II in Italy, but after being wounded, he gets home to a fictional city in the United States, where he and his family moved in search of a better life. Being Italian immigrants, his family lives extremely poorly, and therefore Vito dreams of earning a lot of money and giving them a normal life.

The main character restores relations with his friend Joe, who trades in a small robbery and lives in need of nothing. The protagonist decides to work together with Joe and over time, the guys are noticed by one of the mafia families. After completing a series of difficult tasks, the heroes get the right to become family members. They have achieved greatness – a lot of money revolves around them, they are able to buy anything they want. That's just this life has another side, and very soon the heroes will have to know it.

Gameplay

Mafia 2 is the most successful copy of GTA, which has long been regarded as an independent work with a plot much deeper than that of classmates. The main strength of the shooter is a story campaign worthy of the best gangster fighters.

Among the key gameplay features, it is also necessary to highlight:

• an open virtual world where you can travel freely;
• despite the fact that due to the open world, a lot of freedom of action is offered, the gameplay strongly depends on the plot – running around the city gets boring very soon, and the whole charm of the game is revealed only in passing well-set quests;

• you can't commit crimes – every crime, whether it's a hijacking or a murder on the streets of the city, will entail aggression from the police;
• change of weather conditions, time of day and even seasons;
