Dustborn

Dustborn is an indie computer video game in the genre of action adventure, the events of which tell about the adventures of a fraudster and a criminal named Pax. The heroine must deliver a mysterious package from California to Nova Scotia, in which she will be helped by a rather extraordinary team.

At the moment, the game is in the final development stage and will be released in 2021, but the developers have not yet called the exact figures. 

A small independent team called Red Thread Games is working on the creation of the action.

Plot

Pax is an inveterate fraudster and criminal, and even an anomaly with supernatural abilities, gets out of prison and embarks on a journey across the country in order to deliver a mysterious package. The fact that the main character is also in the fourth month of pregnancy adds interest, which means she can cope with the task alone.

The heroine begins to search for a team and recruits the same inveterate villains as her. And numerous puritans and authoritarian justice will oppose it.

Gameplay

As in any other fairly serious indie game, Dustborn has quite original gameplay, among the key features of which it is important to highlight:

• the opportunity to assemble a team on their own, where each member is a character with unique skills, character and his own life story;
• an interesting combat system, which is characterized not only by the use of weapons, but also by unique skills, as well as words that can actually neutralize enemies – literally;
• dynamic dialogues where words are also a weapon and a means for manipulation;
• open virtual world;
• the system of leveling the abilities
