Warhammer 40,000: Darktide

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is a computer video game in the genre of cooperative shooter with a first–person view, which is currently in the final stages of development. The creators have already released a small trailer that allows you to evaluate the entourage of the project and its visual component.

The shooter is scheduled to be released in 2021, but the exact release dates have not yet been made public. A well-known team called Fatshark is working on the creation of the project.

Plot

According to the plot, the events will unfold not in fantasy, but in the sci-fi universe of Warhammer40,000 on a hive planet called Atom Prime.

In the center of the story will be the fighters of the inquisitor squad, who are sent to the planet in order to destroy the cult of Admonition. This heretical organization successfully began to carry out its rituals, the purpose of which was – the liberation of filth. If the cult is not stopped, then the whole planet will be lost.

Gameplay

If information about the plot is still available in sufficient quantities, then there is much less information about the gameplay. 

Nevertheless, a few facts about the gameplay of Warhammer 40,000 have escaped to the network: Darktide, among which:

• the possibility of single and cooperative passage through the network;
• multiple character classes to choose from with their own unique skills and characteristics;
• the enemy will always outnumber the inquisitors and to win the battle it is necessary not only to demonstrate personal shooting skills, but also to resort to the implementation of tactical techniques;
• all kinds of opponents – from ordinary creatures of chaos to especially danger
