The Dark Pictures: Little Hope is a computer video game in the genre of horror and interactive drama, the events of which unfold in the near 1962. The plot revolves around a group of students trapped in a city known in the past for its witch hunt, where they encountered an ancient evil.

Plot

As already mentioned, in the center of the storyline are four students and their teacher, who by a strange coincidence end up in the small town of Little Hope. The last thing the main characters remember is how they were riding on the bus and their vehicle got into an accident.

Little Hope is not just a typical quiet American town, but a place with a very dark and sad history. Several centuries ago, a monstrous massacre unfolded here, which is called a "witch hunt". Shortly after arriving in the town, the main characters see a vision in which angry residents hang people resembling the characters of the story.

Gameplay

The Dark Pictures: Little Hope is an interactive drama where the main thing is not dynamic actions, but colorful videos and a storyline. Dialogues and the study of the virtual world here take much more time than battles against various kinds of monsters.

Among the key gameplay features of horror, it is necessary to highlight:

• special attention is paid to dialogues – it is necessary to think over every decision in them, because it affects the further development of events (the lives of the characters will also depend on the said replicas);
• the characters will not be immortal – if they pass incorrectly, they can all die before the end of the story;
• the presence of tense scenes during which it is necessary to perform so-called "faster actions" - to perform keyboard shortcuts, for example, for a successful battle with a monster;
• the presence of two multiplayer modes called "Shared Story" (the passage leads on behalf of two players who simultaneously control their characters) and "Movie Night" (five players can choose their character and use the controller during the game for one of them – selected at the begin
