Shiny is a standard video game in the platform genre, the events of which take place in the world of science fiction.

The game was developed by the independent Brazilian studio Garage 227.

Description

The action takes place on the planet Aurora, which is moving towards an inevitable catastrophe – a collision with its sun. The player assumes the role of the cute robot Kramer 227, which is one of the machines abandoned by humans, due to a lack of energy needed to escape from a dying planet. However, Kramer does not accept his fate and embarks on a journey filled with adventures. The goal of the robot is to preserve its "I" and save its mechanical relatives.

Gameplay

The mechanics are standard for the platform, requiring the player to jump over obstacles, avoid traps and various dangers that occur throughout twenty levels. However, the player has a specific goal – the rescue of abandoned robots. Thus, you are obliged to collect the energy remaining in the batteries and generators scattered on the cards. The energy is then transferred to other mechanisms that the player encounters. These two elements of the gameplay are closely interrelated, and the effectiveness of each action depends on energy consumption. Fortunately, we can count on various bonuses along the way, such as jet packs, energy balls or temperature controllers, which greatly facilitate the achievement of the goal.
