Dungeon Rats is a tactical RPG video game using a turn–based combat system.

The game was developed by the independent studio Iron Tower.

Description

The events unfold in a universe where elements of the Roman Empire and post-apocalyptic fantasy are mixed up. Wings of the Dungeon is the nickname of the 7th Heavy, armored Division of the Imperial Guard. The player assumes the role of a prisoner sentenced to hard labor for life in a huge mine. We begin our journey from the bottom of society and try to break through to the surface.

Gameplay

The gameplay is focused mainly on battles. The turn-based system present in the previous Iron Tower game returns, receiving many updates and tweaks. This time the player takes on a group of heroes, and the battle is built around flanking attacks and uses objects found in the game world. Such a description of the combat system does not mean that our hero is an ordinary lout. Instead, charisma is an important attribute, since the number of team members and the choice of volunteers are directly related to it. In general, the player can choose from ten potential companions, and the party has a limit of four people. Interestingly, the acquired skill points are shared among all members of the group. As a result, the rate of increase of skills depends on the number of members of the group.
