Yesterday Origins is an exciting adventure video game that combines the old–school "Point-and-click" formula with modern elements. It is a continuation of the game "Yesterday", released back in 2012.

The game was developed by independent studio Pendulo.

Description

The events focus on the adventures of John, an occult detective. We learn that our young hero, in fact, bears the burden of five hundred years of life. The plot is divided into two time periods, so players participate in both current actions and those that occurred back in the era of the Spanish Inquisition. The story touches on topics such as Satanism and occultism, alchemy, transmutation, travel around the world and in time.

Gameplay

The mechanics of "Yesterday Origins" follows the pattern of the previous game "Yesterday". Thus, we got a typical representative of Point-and-click adventure games. For the most part, the player explores locations, talks to NPCs, collects items and solves puzzles. It is obvious that solving riddles is the main activity of every self-respecting graphic adventure. A useful hint system has been implemented, so less experienced players and most gamers will be looking for a balance between using them and applying logic while solving puzzles.
