S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Search (2011) PC

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. – Search is a global modification to Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl, which by and large is an independent game, having a unique gameplay, plot and a number of other features.

A small amateur studio called Zaurus worked on the creation of the mod.

Plot

The action unfolds after the events of the fashion "Apocalypse" - many veterans should perfectly remember this wonderful story. In the center of the plot is a small group called Search.

Before us is a new main character named Slaven. One day, having left a small group of his comrades, he returns and sees that they all mysteriously died – only naked skeletons and a PDA remain from them. Surprisingly, there are no mutants running around here who love such feasts – something is clearly wrong here.

Slaven understands that their demise can only be the beginning. It is not clear to him who could have done such a thing and who, if not the main character, would start investigating this strange case. You can't just give up and kill your guys – it's time to find the killer.

Gameplay

The main changes brought by the modification of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. – Search relate mostly to the plot, but we also have gameplay innovations. Among the key ones are the following:

• new types of weapons and equipment;
• smart mutants – now you won't be able to shoot them like small children;
• NPCs got more serious artificial intelligence;
• the player's interaction with the PDA has been somewhat complicated – now it will not be so easy to react to the dangers that the Zone has prepared for you;
• the mechanics of sweeps have undergone significant changes in favor of a greater difficulty of winning back from them.
