Far Cry 3 is the third game from the eponymous series in the genre of first–person adventure shooter. However, it is not a direct continuation of the previous version.

Briefly about the plot

The new main character is an American named Jason Brody, who, due to the circumstances, must survive on one of the tropical islands. The friends planned to spend their holidays among the beauties of Rook Island, but after a parachute jump they found themselves in the hands of local robbers, led by a psychopath named Vaasa Montenegro.

Jason is the only one who manages to escape from the invaders. He is assisted by a native of Dennis Island. To take revenge on the pirates for the death of his brother, the main character must complete a number of missions. He will be drawn into a brutal war between the indigenous inhabitants of the island and its invaders.

Key Features of Far Cry 3

Unlike the previous version, the third part is more colorful and saturated:

1. the developers paid more attention to filling the island with life. For example, in the forests you can meet representatives of a diverse fauna. Having met some of them, the character will have a hard time. Sharks and crocodiles can ambush him in the water.
2. If a player captures a strong point, he already remains under control until the end of the game.
3. The camp of local aborigines is a control point where the player can move at any time.

Far Cry 3 allows the player to make decisions about what to do next. You can strictly carry out the plot and the main missions, or you can distract yourself to wander around the island, perform side tasks, pump up the skills of the hero.

The developers have provided many ways to have an interesting time on the island:

• the opportunity to ride jeeps, motorcycles, aquabikes, hang gliding;
• play mini-games;
• hunting animals, butchering prey;
• collect herbs and brew a potion.

Most of these actions give the player special points, which will later help make him stronger, teach him how to handle different weapons more skillfully.

In addition to all of the above, the game has finally received a multiplayer mode for a 2-4 player cooperative campaign. However, in this case, the main plot story will be presented in a different way.
