When the royal racing game was first released in 2010, most fans of this sport immediately swept the installation discs off the shelves. As the years passed, the game improved and in 2015 we received an updated version. The developers worked on the comments of the previous series and tried to eliminate them as much as possible, and although it did not succeed to the end, they still managed to create an atmosphere of racing cars!

Features of the game

The first thing that catches is the voice acting and a new approach to visualization. From the very first minutes you will be met by Anthony Davidson and David Croft who will share their forecasts with you and tell you a little about the changes in the line-ups this year. In many ways, the races began to resemble TV broadcasts, because already standing on the track, the car is surrounded by masses of reporters and mechanics who add realism.

Special attention should be paid to the physics of the car's movement – now it does not move along the prepared track. Yes, it has become more difficult to manage, but it has only become more interesting to play, because now even too much braking on a turn can cause defeat.

Graphics – it has undergone the greatest changes, as it is immediately noticeable how accurate the details have become, which is sometimes difficult to distinguish if you are watching a video or it is still a game! I was pleased with the attention of the creators to the details, especially the play of shadows on cars while driving on the highway.

And what is noticeable compared to the previous series are the boxes. Previously, it was possible to get information here, but it was either useless or useful – but it was too late. Now you can request the information you are interested in, which greatly simplifies the race.

But there are also a few drawbacks:

• there are no historical cars, which really upset, but the developers promise to return them in the next release;
• the lack of a full-fledged career mode, but you shouldn't be too upset: the championship mode and network or single races still remain;
• the predictable intelligence of the opponents, probably, though loudly said, is felt, because now the opponents are ready to take risks (even when it would not be worth doing) and get into accidents or knocked off the track, for which we get penalty seconds for leaving the lawn.

Results

Definitely, with each new release, the game is getting better, player comments are being finalized and technologies are not standing still. It's nice that the developers paid attention to the sound and graphic details, which creates a presence effect and encourages interest. At the same time, there is still a lot to refine in order to climb
