Euro Truck Simulator (2008) PC

"Euro Truck Simulator" is a game released in 2008, which is a simulator of a long-distance driver and includes elements of economic management. In the Russian localization, unlike the second part of the series, the name has changed – "With cargo in Europe".

Plot

As such, there is no plot in the game, which is not uncommon for this genre. The plot is replaced by goals that are achieved by developing the financial situation of the hero, buying new vehicles, taking more serious and highly paid cargo, as well as passing several levels of difficulty.

Gameplay

The driver has at his disposal a digitized version of Europe, which includes a large number of countries that are part of the European Union:

1. Portugal.
2. Switzerland.
3. France.
4. Germany.
5. Italy.
6. Belgium.
7. Austria.

And many other states. They are, of course, not fully represented, but only a part of the cities. These are mainly capitals and other large cities, which represent the largest agglomerations for the country. It is also worth noting that not all of them are available for cargo transportation at the start of the game. To move around some of these states, you will need to purchase a special license to carry out your professional activities.

Initially, the player is given a small loan of one hundred thousand euros to buy his first truck. The game features five car brands, each model has its own advantages and disadvantages:

1. Scania (Swift).
2. Renault Magnum (Runner).
3. Mercedes–Benz Actros (replaced by Majestic in the game).
4. Volvo (Valiant).
5. Man.

Just like in real life, the driver may face certain difficulties: the need to fill up the fuel tank regularly, rest in specially designated parking lots, comply with traffic rules or, in case of violation, pay fines. You will also need to pay a penalty for goods delivered on time or for their damage. To fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere, the truck cab is made taking into account all the little things, there is an opportunity to listen to the radio, which can be made up of personal compositions added to a special folder, or with an Internet connection.

Unlike other representatives of this genre, you cannot hire other drivers in the game, that is, the width of business opportunities here is seriously narrowed.
