No70: Eye of Basir (2017) PC
No. 70: Eye of Basir is a very simple horror game. Its three short chapters tell the story of a family drama and an ancient secret about a long-forgotten artifact. An almost bookish approach was used to the narration, ensuring that you do everything in the right order.
Description
The story revolves around the mysterious house No. 70, in which Aras lived with his brother Erhan as a child. After 20 years, Erhan, being an architect, returns to this house for research, but disappears without a trace. Aras goes in search of his brother, and encounters a dark family secret and a magical artifact in the house.
Gameplay
You wander through halls, houses and pleasant forest paths, important for the memories of the narrator Erhan. In all three chapters, Erhan will tell the story of his childhood, how his grandmother looked after him during difficult times, and how the mysterious box that his grandmother kept from him became an extremely important part of his life. The game is more interested in telling a story than having meaningful gameplay. Interaction in Eye of Basir is limited, so you mostly just wander around and browse notes and other items. Sometimes you will have to solve simple puzzles, although it is rarely more difficult than using an object for its intended purpose.
For example, taking the key, obviously you need to find the right door and unlock it. However, the game sometimes becomes a metaphorical brick wall in front of you, forcing you to think about what really needs to be done. Quite often the solution is to back off until some other event happens.
