Hitman: Contracts (2004) PC

Hitman: Contracts is a continuation of the story of an assassin in the style of stealth action in the shooter genre. The gameplay is based on memories of past work, which appear in the form of hallucinations. Each memory is a separate mission.

Narration

After a treacherous wound, the agent hides in a small hotel room, where he begins to wonder who betrayed him and put a bullet in his side. These memories are mixed with hallucinations that periodically appear due to pain shock. Each thought is a task that needs to be completed in order to remember some more detail. Events are happening:

• in a mental hospital where experiments on people are carried out;
• in a slaughterhouse completely drenched in animal blood;
• Great Britain;
• Siberia;
• Netherlands;
• Hong Kong.

Everywhere you need to kill someone, except for the mental hospital – you need to leave it. Each map has its own entourage, weather conditions and even the style of passing missions.

Creative approach to death

The developers have worked hard on the killer's arsenal, increasing the variety of ways to destroy victims. Instead of a furious occupation, it turned into creativity, and there are always several ways to achieve the goal: to stab a sleeping client, strangle him with a pillow or shoot him using it as a silencer. There was an opportunity to fulfill the contract without seeing the goal live – by putting poison in the food.

There are two tactics of the game: we make noise and wet everyone, or we observe the silence mode and make do with minimal casualties.

Gameplay Features

The preservation system migrated from the first part: there are 7 slots available for saving at the initial difficulty level, there are none at the high level – the mission will have to be completed without falling.
