Starbound (2016) PC

Starbound is a space two–dimensional sandbox in pixel style, in which players will have to travel, build various buildings and survive on a wide variety of planets. The game was released by the studio on Steam Chucklefish in the summer of 2016 for all operating systems. It has not yet been announced on consoles.

Terraria on a cosmic scale

Some gamers have given the game the name "Terraria in Space", and there is some sense in this. These projects are very similar both in general style and gameplay. Despite the general similarity, Starbound is not an outright clone and is able to provide several unique mechanics.

Explore numerous planets

Initially, the player appears on a random planet, his only task will be survival in a somewhat hostile environment. The local flora and fauna will not be too friendly to the protagonist, so you should not immediately try to go into outer space, it is better to build at least some shelter in which you can hide from hostile animals or monsters.

Only after initially getting on your feet can you think about traveling to other planets.
