Half-Life 2 (2004) PC

Half Life 2 is a popular science shooter, where the main character is a physicist by vocation, will once again save the world from the consequences of his own experiments with crystals.

Plot

Physicists finished playing in the laboratory, thereby opening a portal from the other world to Earth. Gordon Freeman, one of the experimenters, corrected the situation by destroying the aliens and their leader, after which he was immersed in a stasis capsule. These are the events of the first part, the second begins with the fact that the physicist, who did not utter a couple of words during the game, awakens, because serious things are waiting for him. The story begins with the arrival in City 17 – a city under the control of the Alliance – a totalitarian government.

The game is divided into chapters, each action takes place in a separate area:

• City 17 is the largest city in Europe;
• Black Mesa is a research center located in the desert of the USA;
• Ravenholme is a ghost town filled with undead;
• The coast is an area filled with sand ants and sand;
• Nova Prospekt is a place where political criminals are located.

Diversity

What gamers loved Half Life 2 for. Almost everything that is in the game was somewhere. Each new chapter is not only new textures, it is a completely different gameplay from the previous chapters. In addition to the terrain itself (city, canal, sands, laboratories, a maximum security prison, a city with zombies), something is constantly changing around: new enemies, weapons, modes of transport. We'll take a buggy ride and a hovercraft along abandoned canals. With a gravipushka we will fight with an army of zombies and headcrabs.
