Imperium Romanum (2008) PC

Imperium Romanum is a computer video game in the genre of real–time strategy and urban planning simulator, which takes place during the period of the greatest power of the Roman Empire – the largest and strongest state of antiquity.

A famous Bulgarian studio called Haemimont Games worked on the creation of the game.

Plot

The action unfolds at the beginning of the first millennium – it is during this period that the greatest flourishing of the Roman Empire falls. Your task is to strengthen the power of the state even more. To do this, it is worth using all possible resources, including the army, to enslave new lands.   

Gameplay

In total, Imperium Romanum has four interesting modes, each of which deserves attention:

1. Training (quite a standard mode for many strategies, where you can learn all the basics).
2. Time scale (here you have to travel from one city to another and perform various interesting tasks that are seriously different from each other).
3. Scenarios (planned plot tasks where you need to achieve a certain historical goal).
4. Rome (in this mode, you should take care of the well-being of the citizens of the great city, fight off the barbarians and build such impressive buildings as the Colosseum).

The mechanics of battles have expanded somewhat, as the developers have added several new types of troops, including siege guns and cavalry, whereas before there were only archers and melee infantry.
