The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings - Enhanced Edition (2012) PC

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is a computer video game in the RPG and action genre, which takes place in the fantasy world of Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski.

The second part of the famous series tells about the adventures of the witcher Geralt, who became a victim of the plot and is now accused of murdering King Foltest.

A well-known Polish studio called CD Project RED worked on the creation of the game.

Plot

Geralt is a professional monster hunter, recovering from memory loss. While at the court of King Temeria, the main character participates in the storming of the castle, where Foltest dies at the hands of an assassin.

Geralt realizes that another witcher named Leto is behind the death of the overlord. The mysterious assassin has arranged so that all the blame falls on the White Wolf and he must reveal Leto's plans in order to justify his name.   

Gameplay

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings has stepped much further than the first part – the developers have made an incredible breakthrough, creating a fundamentally new combat system, as well as a huge virtual world. Among the features of the gameplay are the following:

• ample opportunities for leveling up the character, including improving skills, abilities and also special witcher mutations;
• the ability to use two swords – steel (for killing people) and silver (for monsters);
• every decision you make affects the further development of events;
• dozens of types of monsters that are characters of Slavic folklore;
• the presence of weak combat magic, with which Geralt can defend himself, break walls or attack the enemy;
• a virtually seamless virtual world with the ability to travel freely.
