An alternative story with steampunk elements, with the ability to perform incredible acrobatic stunts, shoot revolvers with four reels and ride on walls on steam motorcycles – the chips of the game promised by the developers. In fact, all this is there, but on a smaller scale.

Plot

The American Civil War did not end in 1865, but continued for several more decades. While northerners and southerners were shedding each other's blood, a third party appeared in the conflict. PSI Corporation wasted no time: it set up the production of steam robots, stamped machine guns and rocket launchers, and let's kill everyone in a row. In the struggle for power over a huge country, all means are good, for example, a narcotic substance that improves reflexes in small doses and turns people into monsters – in large ones.

In such circumstances, the main character of the game Hamilton Rourke goes in search of his beloved, and at the same time begins to guerrilla in the rear of the cursed corporation.

Gameplay

The world of Damnation is quite large, but the gamer will not get the promised freedom of action. From point A to point B, the protagonist moves with the help of impressive acrobatic abilities: jumping over precipices, climbing ropes, climbing steep walls. However, all this can be done in the places provided by the developers. Trips on steam motorcycles, again along strictly specified routes, can diversify the movement of locations.

For the massacre of enemies, the hero carries several types of weapons behind his back at once, characterized by an interesting design. As for the differences in combat characteristics, they are insignificant, so the revolver turns out to be no worse than a shotgun or rifle.
