Plot

The main character is a Coast Guard officer named Tom Hansen. During his work, he saw many deaths. And then one day he gets a task to examine a Russian whaling vessel called the “Spirit of the East” on a patrol boat. It floats in the open ocean without any signs of life.

Not a single living person was found on board. It would seem that the tragedy can be considered a long time ago. However, the real horror is just beginning. The evil that is hidden in the dark corners under the deck of the ship will forever change the attitude of the protagonist to life, as well as what may happen after it.
