Modern Warfare 2 is the fifth part of a series of shooters from Infinity Ward with a plot that caused a lot of questions and indignation from gamers.

The player will visit the skin of five elite fighters of several armies and units, will fight in Russia, the USA, Afghanistan and Brazil. 5 years after the completion of the first part, the ultranationalists win the war, but immediately their movement splits.

Makarov, who has settled to the bottom, organizes a massacre at the Moscow airport and kills an American agent who has infiltrated his gang. The spy's body becomes evidence against the West's impending war with Russia, and the government begins a full-scale invasion of the "continent of evil". Against the background of the confrontation of two civilizations, the elite detachment OTG-141 is searching for Makarov.

From the console versions, this episode is cut out, because it turns out that the Kremlin is sending the military to the United States for no reason.

Infinity Ward has released the game on its own engine – modifications of id Tech 3, where the main emphasis is on:

• respawn opponents in various places;
• their more intelligent interaction with surrounding objects;
• individual NPC behavior (there are no more identical scenes);
• using streaming textures to create large-scale locations;
• weapon ballistics, which takes into account the type of surface, its shape and weather conditions.

Multiplayer

A boring corridor shooter with elementary tasks diversifies the network setting. In the first mode, we cover the running and shooting partner from the side of the flying battery. The second allows you to team up with friends, and performing various tasks brings titles, awards, new costumes, weapons and develops skills.
