Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a cult shooter from Infinity Ward, which is one of the best–selling in the world. The plot tells about a special detachment "Delta", designed to fight terrorism.

Plot

Events unfold at the beginning of the XXI century, although certain missions take the player twenty years into the past. The main characters are members of the Delta squad, an elite group of American troops created for the war against terrorists.

The main character, "Soap" McTavish, becomes a member of the squad, who has the task to stop the Russian terrorist Zakhaev, who dreams of seeing the whole world at war. In addition, the game features such a character as Captain Price – a key personality in the entire Modern Warfare series and the commander of Delta.

To neutralize Zakhayev, the fighters will have to perform combat missions around the world, including Eastern Europe, Asia and the Middle East.  

Gameplay

As part of the gameplay , the following types of weapons are available to the player:

• pistols;
• automatic weapons;
• shotguns;
• sniper rifles;
• grenade launchers;
• explosives;
• grenades.

Tactical interaction between team members is a key factor in achieving victory over the enemy. Game levels are represented by corridor locations with shelters, because of which you can fire. The player cannot collect first aid kits – health is restored at a time when the "Soap" is not under fire. When the character dies, the player starts the game from the point of the last autosave – there is no manual save function in the game.
