S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: The Call of Pripyat - MISERY [2.1.2] (2014) PC

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: The Call of Pripyat – MISERY is one of the biggest global modifications for the third part of the popular Stalker line, which radically changes the gameplay and visual component, without affecting the storyline.

An independent fan studio called MISERY Development Team worked on the creation of the mod.

Plot

As already mentioned, neither the main story nor the additional quests have been changed. The main character is still an employee of the SBU of Ukraine – Major Degtyarev.

The government decided to reveal all the secrets of the Zone by sending several combat helicopters with special forces on board. The operation was called "Fairway". Despite careful preparation, everything went downhill – communication with the fighters was lost.

To find out the reasons for the failure of the operation, Degtyarev is sent to the Zone. He must find helicopters and military survivors. In addition, he is obliged to find out what dozens of professional soldiers failed to do.

Gameplay

The developers were aimed at increasing the realism of the gameplay, and therefore resorted to the following changes:

The AI of NPCs and mutants has been significantly improved – now all battles will become more difficult;

• stealth mechanics have been added and it is now possible to apply camouflage, which affects the level of stealth;
• the brilliance of the weapon increases the probability of your detection;
• the number of things you can carry is now limited;
• the stamina reserve has been redesigned – you will no longer run endlessly;
• mutants endure more shots and punches;
• the cost of many items has been completely changed.

Huge changes have affected graphics – textures have significantly increased in quality and detail. Everything turned up for revision, including models of units, buildings, trees, lighting and even shadows. Motion anima
