S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: The Call of Pripyat [v. 1.6.00] (2009) RS

Stalker: The Call of Pripyat is a computer video game in the genre of action and first–person shooter, which is the third part of the official series and tells the story of Major Degtyarev, designed to uncover the secrets of the Zone.

A well-known Ukrainian studio called GSC Game World worked on the creation of a game for personal computers.

Plot

The zone is a mysterious and very dangerous territory that arose as a result of the explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Although it was fenced off by the authorities, people still penetrated the fence in search of artifacts that can be sold for very substantial money.

Radiation caused serious mutations of plants, animals and people in the Zone. There were even various kinds of anomalies that contradict all the laws of physics.

The government decided to conduct Operation Fairway, the purpose of which is to penetrate deep into the Zone and reveal its secrets. However, the plan went downhill and the helicopter gunships crashed. You have to find out what happened to them and what secrets are hidden in this place. 

Gameplay

Stalker: The Call of Pripyat is a graphically beautiful game that boasts a large virtual world divided into three areas. All maps correspond to real-life localities and they are drawn to the smallest detail.

The following features are characteristic of the action gameplay:

• the nonlinear structure of the narrative – the freedom of action is almost limitless;
• a huge arsenal of weapons, body armor, equipment, food and medicines;
• realistic shooting mechanics;
• the need to take care of the strength and condition of their belongings, otherwise they will cease to serve;
• interesting opponents with advanced AI;
• dynamic system for changing weather conditions and time of day.
