S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl - Omega Variant (2014) PC

Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl is an Omega variant - a story modification to the story game of the same name, which seriously changes the campaign and provides more interesting endings.

A small independent studio called basil worked on the creation of the mod. The Omega variant was released in 2014 on personal computers. 

Plot

The original plot and the ideas embedded in it remained the same, but a certain number of quests were changed, undoubtedly for the better. Many fans were also unhappy with how the original story ended and the developers decided to offer their own version.

In addition, we were presented with three mini-campaigns that open after passing the main plot. Their passage will not take much time, but each story is thought out to the smallest detail and gives you the opportunity to dive even deeper into the world of the Zone.

Gameplay

But as for the gameplay, Stalker: Shadows of Chernobyl – The Omega variant remained true to the original – none of the mechanics were affected, because why change something that works fine and fans like it.

As an exception , the following points can be highlighted:

• two new types of weapons have been added – the "Whirlwind" machine gun and the "Pecheneg" machine gun;
• several new dealers and repairers of weapons and equipment have appeared;
• fixed a number of problems when interacting with characters;
• a new voice of the American special forces (one of the groups in the Zone) has been added.

Even in previous versions of this modification, developers began to adjust the graphics to modern realities. Now they are somewhat improved Shadows of Chernobyl, with good lighting and shadows.
