S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl - A fallen star. Honor of a Mercenary [v.1.0004] (2013) PC

Stalker: The Shadow of Chernobyl is a fallen star. The Honor of the Mercenary is a global modification for the eponymous original first part of the famous Stalker line. By genre, the game is still an action game, but the mod brings a significant share of horror to the project - all because of the extremely gloomy locations.

A group of fans with the following creative nicknames worked on the creation of the modification: Zaurus, julius, Marafon6540 and Kostya-Semyon.

Plot

A fallen star. The honor of a mercenary brings a completely new fascinating story. The campaign tells about a mysterious container that caused a bloody war between two powerful factions inside the Zone.

One day, the stolen container began to emit a strange force, and then a powerful release of energy occurred in the very center of the Zone. After it, the stalkers discovered that the affected area was covered with an energy cap that isolated hundreds of people.

Many began to realize that the cause of this incident is in that container. A stalker named JJ takes the task to find this artifact and deliver it to the right place - by itself, for a decent reward.

Gameplay

As for the gameplay, it was also affected by quite significant changes, which look like this:

• old and new locations have become much darker and life is no longer boiling in them – this brings a share of horror;
• the number of shootings and enemies has decreased somewhat, but the role of virtual world exploration has grown;
• there are new weapons, equipment items and characters.
