Klannad is a visual novel from the Japanese studio Key. It became the basis of four manga, a full-fledged anime film and a two-season animated series. The main character's cosplay uniform took 2nd place in Japan in terms of sales in 2008.

The hero, the plot

The game world consists of two locations: an Illusory world, the best school of a small Japanese city and its streets. The gamer is the main character of the Clan: he sees the world around him through his eyes, makes decisions for him, knows about all thoughts and judgments. The name of the protagonist is Tomoya Okazaki.

He is in the 12th grade and is preparing for graduation and adulthood. As a child, the hero remained a semi-orphan, and his father turned into an alcoholic, and then also a disabled person with arm problems. Tomoya does not seek to run home after school, but at home, locked in a room, does something late. As a result, he is constantly late for classes. His friend Yeheya, like Tomoya himself, hates gray everyday life and strives to change something in this life.

One day, going to school for classes, the guy met a new girl named Nagisa, also a high school student, who was thinking about life, school and the future in a voice. She immediately liked the guy, caused him some inexplicable feelings. It seems that the gray streak is coming to an end, and then a life filled with positive events will begin. Other heroes will join him, and soon Tomoya will understand the reason for everything that is happening and the connection of events with Nagisu's dreams and thoughts.

Gameplay

Klannad is no different from a classic visual novel. It is moderately interactive, has several branches of the plot, which slowly and in all its subtleties reveals itself to the hero.

Background drawings and compositions written specifically for the game are constantly changing in accordance with the surrounding environment. A lot of endings promise both good endings and bad ones in relation to the protagonist.
