Who are

Initially, this word was called shepherds, who were equally:

• freed negroes from plantations;
• mexicans;
• Europeans.

All had no property and no privileges in society, and therefore they were hired to drive herds of wild bulls into pens and wagons, search for missing cows, guard pastures, repair ranches and other similar work with cattle ranchers. Constant detours of the territory on horseback made cowboys good riders, and the treatment of bulls marked the beginning of the rodeo.

When driving cattle across the prairies, shepherds armed themselves, because the Indians did not always welcome the invasion of their territories, and it was easier to negotiate with a revolver, and runaway bandits raided the already poor shepherds. The place of events is the so–called Wild West. This is an area of the USA that moved and expanded from the center to the Pacific coast, until in 1895 the phenomenon ceased to exist.

Typical shepherd's clothing:

• leather pants and pads on the nah to protect against thorns;
• the hat is a follower of the sombrero;
• leather boots with spurs for controlling the horse.

Films about cattle herders, bandits and redskins began to be filmed in the XIX century.
