Arcade (arcade) is the most understandable, simple and at the same time addictive game that came to personal computers, mobile phones and various consoles straight from arcade machines. That is why the genre has such a name.
The first arcades existed exclusively in large slot machines and their main goal was to shake out the maximum amount of money from the player. Therefore, they were developed incredibly difficult and practically impassable. With the arrival of home platforms, the genre has greatly decreased in complexity, thanks to which such games began to take place much faster.
The main feature of the genre is the absence of the usual health strip for a modern player, instead of it you are given several lives to complete. In some projects, after losing a life, the player can continue from the moment of death, in other games you will have to start from the beginning of the level or from the nearest checkpoint. Additional lives can be obtained for accumulating points, collecting certain items or other similar actions.
