Max Payne

The Max Payne game series was first released in 2001 with the release of the first part of the TPS game of the same name. This cult shooter, in its prologue, shows how police officer Max Payne loses everything one day, and the next, under confusing circumstances, turns out to be outlawed. What will happen to the former detective in the future will have to be found out by the curious player who decided to launch this masterpiece.

Among the features that later became the traditions of the series, it should be noted:

• cinematography;
• acrobatic tricks;
• proprietary deceleration mode;
• a wide selection of weapons;
• the vulnerability of the protagonist pushes the player to act deliberately and tactically.

All this quite successfully distinguishes this game among many relatives in the genre.

Max Payne 2 strengthens the traditions laid down by the developers in the first part, while at the same time adding a lot of interesting innovations. The game was released just two years after the success of the first part. The gameplay and the manner of narration of events have not changed much, unlike the character of the main character.

In the story, Max, thanks to his merits, returns to the police and tries to gradually improve his life. But meeting with a femme fatale, Mona Sachs, whom Max Payne himself considered long dead, turns everything upside down. A curious feature is the possibility in some joint missions to play for the above-mentioned Mona, who is a fairly skilled fighter.
