Zeno Clash is the creation of a small Chilean studio Ace Team, which at one time received a lot of advances from industrial professionals. Even Gabe Newel himself was honored with praise, who provided his Source engine to a small studio. 

About the game

Zeno Clash is a dilogy, but there is a gap between the first and second parts. Therefore, we will tell you separately about each one.

The original formula of the game was not easy: a sophisticated first-person fighting game was combined with a delightful visual part here. Zenozoic World is one of the best original locations in the history of games. Unusual flora and fauna, a thoughtful universe, a lot of hyperbolized allusions to today's world. Zeno Clash successfully communicates with us using visual techniques, perfectly emphasizing important points. The plot was also a success here – a drama about revenge and intolerance was played out in the local scenery, the complexity of which initially you can't believe.

The game itself was based on constant battles and physical puzzles. At the same time, each opponent you met could be the last for you – in unusual scenery it is difficult to predict the behavior of each new monster, and therefore the fights were like boxing – with getting used to the opponent, exhausting and carrying out the crown techniques. Periodically, the player was given a weapon, but most often it was necessary to solve puzzles.

Zeno Clash 2, it would seem, was made as a very ordinary sequel, we were promised:

1. Improved graphics due to the transition from Source to Unreal Engine.
2. An updated combat system with a lot of combinations.
3. An open game world with side quests.

And all this is really in the game. However, by expanding the formula, the developers could not cope with the balance. As a result, Zeno Clash 2 suffered from unnecessarily complex combat, poor co-op and some incomprehensible negligence – every now and then scripts did not work in the game, necessary things disappeared or important doors did not open. Such a failure did not give Ace Team the ground to complete the trilogy, and it's a pity – Zeno Clash was an outstan
