The original War and Peace game was released back in 1998 and made a splash on the computer games market. It had a well-thought-out system of governing the kingdom, where subjects want to eat, steel and wood are needed for weapons, and miners and foresters are needed for their extraction. No strategy of that time offered such a depth of gameplay. Therefore, it is not surprising that the army of fans of the game numbered in the millions around the world. And to their delight, the second part of the game was also released in 2001.

Place of action

You will have to lead a kingdom somewhere in Europe during the times of feudal fragmentation. This causes the absence of huge armies and the need to survive at the expense of a subsidiary farm. The weapons and buildings are authentic, no magicians and magic potions.

How to survive

Crafting of all items looks like this:

1. We extract the initial resource (metal, wood, ears).
2. We supply them to specialists (blacksmith, carpenter, sheep breeders and pigsties).
3. We get useful goods (weapons, armor, meat, wool, leather, etc.).

At the same time, most resources and their derivatives can be processed into several types of finished products. Coupled with the different amount of resources on each map, this forces the player to determine what it is better to refrain from, so that the kingdom survives, but at the same time retains its defenses. Enemies are not asleep and are constantly trying to take away your castle, while often you yourself will be given the task to destroy a competitor.

In case of war

Despite the distant year of release, both parts place a strong emphasis on tactics. Archers should not be put in the front line, as they do not hold a blow well, and heavy infantrymen will also suffer heavy losses from light and fast cavalry.
