Darksiders II is an action computer video game with RPG and slasher elements. A small studio Vigil Games worked on the development of the game.

Plot

The events of the first part led to the fact that one of the horsemen of the Apocalypse, War, made a fatal mistake that upset the balance between the worlds. His rashness led to the fact that the human world was destroyed. The Council decided that the War should be punished, and possibly lose his life. However, his brothers and sisters will not just watch the War being killed. Death, the elder brother, decides to atone for the sins of War and restore the third kingdom – the human world. But to do this, he himself will have to commit a crime. The council does not allow the main character to interfere, but Death does not listen and goes on a dangerous adventure, the result of which will be the Apocalypse.

Gameplay

The gameplay has not undergone almost any changes, and the following features remain characteristic of it:

• the emphasis is on hand-to-hand fighting using various cold weapons;
• Individual strikes can be combined into crushing combos that cause huge damage to the enemy.;
• defeating opponents and completing tasks, the player receives experience points, with which you can improve the combat skills of Death;
• There was an opportunity to use Despair, a warhorse;
• simple puzzles appeared;
• the game world has become less "corridor".

Graphics

Although the series still has not acquired an open world, it has significantly gained in detail, and the locations have become more spacious, which gives the player more opportunities for maneuvering. Textures have become much clearer – even when approaching, they do not seem blurry. The animation of Death movements is very realistic.
