S.T.A.L.K.E.R. The New War (2007) PC
"Stalker New War" is a mod for the first part, "Shadow of Chernobyl". Due to the fact that the plot of the game does not change at all, this add-on (addon, extension, as it is convenient to call it) can be used as the original story and take place instead of the original.
Plot
The storyline of this version of the first "Stalker" does not undergo significant changes, only the possibility of getting into the bar without passing the "Agroprom" has appeared. Everything else remained in its place.
Major changes
For those who have not played the original version, it will be difficult to understand the essence of the innovations and changes affecting the "Stalker":
- The number of various mutants in all locations has been significantly increased, except for the segment from the X-10 laboratory to Pripyat.
- The mod got a lot of mutated animals that were cut from the original version.
- Many other items (weapons, armor) have also been restored.

Other changes
In addition to the factors that increase complexity, the "New War" has received cosmetic improvements:
- Enemy corpses can be moved around locations.
- Improved the structures of some mutants and weapons.
- Weapons are not hidden in places where it is prescribed by the scenario of the main game.
- You can remove uniforms from corpses. But not an exoskeleton.
- Like mutants, characters can also move throughout the territory (between locations).
