"Ori and the Blind Forest" is a beautifully detailed, two-dimensional platformer game released in 2015.

Plot

The evil spirit Kuro stole the soul of the sacred Tree of Life and lost it somewhere. From that moment on, a large forest with lakes began to die, turning into an impenetrable dead thicket filled with unfriendly creatures.

Along with flora, a good-natured bear-like animal that once sheltered another animal, Ori, similar to a white glowing cat, also dies. This kid was able to get to the Tree of Life and gave up the ghost. But the shrinking representative of the fauna, gathering all the remnants of his strength, revives Ori so that he can find the soul of the forest, returning everything to its former appearance. The little animal develops along the way, becomes more agile, skillful, acquiring a lot of additional skills. Ori not only kills villains, but often re-educates them, as if showing his kindness.

Features of the game

At the beginning of the journey, Ori can only bounce. But gradually, discovering caches of magic, the main character gets a variety of additional skills. It is the hidden magic that is the basis of the plot and the main feature of the game. Also, the uniqueness of "Ori and the Blind Forest" consists in the following points:

1. The game has no levels and missions. The plot is smooth without transitions, downloads and pauses. Therefore, Ori can return to the very beginning at any time.
2. The opportunity to return is not a whim, but a vital necessity, because after missing a couple of hiding places, the main character will not receive development and will not be able to pass the next obstacle.
3. Missed caches are more easily detected and opened when the Ori returns more developed.
4. The map will help you explore the entire dying forest and search the missed territories and locations. Only one world, the Ginza Tree, will be impossible to re-search, because it is filled with water and there will be no re-entry to it.

Successful completion directly depends on two sets of skills. The first of them consists of 10 components and it is mandatory (double jump, climbing walls, etc.). The second of three branches (fire and two mixed)
