Gothic 2 - Gold Edition is a continuation of the story of an unnamed hero who will have to save the world. This time from the dragons. And everyone who serves evil or treats people badly, for example, orcs and darkorises, will be condemned by the sword of a man without a name.

The storyline

The main character (GG) killed the Sleeper, but a surge of energy destroyed his temple, causing the building to collapse. The protagonist was resurrected by a good friend – the dark magician Xardas. The necromancer announced the reason for calling GG – Horinis is overrun with dragons, and only one person can stop them. And then, if he finds an ancient artifact – the Eye of Innos.

This is where the fun begins: we take a club in our hands, tear off a couple of herbs at the Xardos Tower to improve our health from wounds and go to the city. On the way, we get acquainted with the combat system and learn how to use magic scrolls.

Game space

The island consists of several parts: actually, the city of Khorinis with adjacent territories (forests, farm fields), the island of Irdorat, where the main dragon hides, the Mine Valley (known from the first part) and the forgotten island of Yarkendar, on which a highly developed civilization lived. Now lawlessness reigns there, bandits are cleaning all the temples and gold mines. In addition to the open map, each of the locations is full of caves, temples, dungeons and abandoned houses for exploring and searching for valuables.

Setting

The hero will have to make a difficult choice, deciding on a craftsman teacher, making a choice between: becoming a paladin, a magician or a mercenary, pumping possession of a one-handed blade, a heavy and powerful two-handed man, or stopping at a crushing weapon. No RPG with a medieval atmosphere can do without long-range guns: a crossbow and a bow with a variety of arrows / bolts. Becoming a magician, GG will be able to learn all the wisdom of the runic craft and, having increased his psychic abilities, will throw balls, summon demons, freeze opponents and drain vital juices from them.

Without elixirs that can permanently or temporarily increase characteristics, reanimate magic power – mana and heal, you can't cope with crowds of orcs, and sometimes even a group of bandits in chain mail armor can't overcome. Only by mastering the skill of an alchemist will it be possible to make exquisite potions, and the best sword will be a blade forged with your own hands.
