Batman: Arkham Asylum - Game of the Year Edition (2010) PC

Batman: Arkham Asylum is the first game in the Batman: Arkham action series, which tells about the adventures of one of the most famous fighters for justice – Batman. The development was carried out by the well-known British studio Rocksteady Studios.

Plot

Batman finally manages to catch the Joker and send him to Arkham Hospital. However, the brilliant psychopath himself planned his capture and was able to escape from custody, thereby capturing the prison and freeing the prisoners.

The Joker plans to create a mutagen "Titan", with which he will gain an army of monsters. Batman gets down to business again – he has to challenge the Joker, Poison Ivy, Bane, Croc, the Riddler and many other supervillains. Gotham's bat must destroy the mutagen and once again save his hometown from destruction.   

Gameplay

The entire gameplay of the game can be safely divided into three different types:

• stealth (stealthy passage and the use of unique technologies to deceive and quietly kill enemies);
• exploring the game world;
• "Kill them all" (a melee mechanic that allows Batman to fight against multiple opponents at once, linking attacks and counterattacks into killer combos).

During the passage, the player must solve puzzles and use unique gadgets to overcome obstacles and eliminate enemies. In the game, you can also use Batman's cape, which allows him to fly.

Graphics

The game Batman: Arkham Asylum has excellent graphics – even for this year it can be called beautiful. The designers were able to draw a large game world, which is represented by a mental hospital and a prison. The gloomy atmosphere of the locations fully corresponds to no less gloomy comics.
