Lost Planet 3 is a successful prequel to the first two parts of the famous series, however, for a comfortable game, it is not necessary to pass the previous issues due to the peculiarities of the plot. The game is an exciting third-person shooter project.

Plot

The game takes place on a sparsely populated cold planet already familiar to fans of the series, which appeared in the first parts. The events of this part begin long before the events of the previous holidays – a giant company engaged in the development of energy technology begins to explore the planet and tries to establish good relations with local residents.

Part of the population of the frosty planet lives in poverty, another part raises uprisings, and a multimillion-dollar company plans to save the whole world by extracting unique fuel from the bowels of the planet.

The main character, Jim, like many others, wants to earn money for his family. To do this, a man arrives on a new planet, where he actively fights with local creatures and helps to clear the surface of the world of monsters. This is exactly what the player will do during the passage.

Advantages and disadvantages of the game

Two factors can be attributed to the indisputable advantages of the game:

1. Immersion in the atmosphere of the surrounding world. The player can feel the emotions of a person who left his family and went to another planet to earn money by killing creatures.
2. Against this background, the main character's relationship with his family is also well felt – letters and monologues tell about his life, love for his wife and devotion to his goal.

Among the disadvantages , two points can be noted:

1. An insufficiently developed plot, in which some scenes turn out to be extremely predictable.
