SteamWorld Build is a city-building simulator, the events of which unfold in the popular steampunk universe of Steamworld. This project significantly expands the setting and is a spin-off, rather than a full-fledged continuation of the line.

Review

The virtual world in SteamWorld Build is a classic dystopian setting with steam engines, robots and a rather gloomy atmosphere. The whole reason is that the apocalypse is approaching and only the lost technologies of a long-dead civilisation can stop it.

However, there is still a chance to fix the catastrophe - these technologies are hidden deep underground, and the gamer can literally dig up to them and use them in the right direction, which will help stop the inevitable disaster.

Gameplay

Among the key gameplay features of the city-building simulator SteamWorld Build should be highlighted:

1. The gamer gets the role of the mayor of the town and has to manage it.
2. A lot of buildings are available, which can be erected and improved.
3. It is required to engage in heavy industry, and in particular mining, which is the main mechanics.
4. Gamers will regularly encounter monsters that dwell in the mines, and therefore it is important to take care of the defence of the settlement and its inhabitants.
5. You need to satisfy the needs of the population so that they don't need anything - then the workers will be as productive as possible.
6. Beautiful steampunk atmosphere.
7. There are dynamic events happening regularly - both positive and negative and it is important to react to them quickly.
