The Parable of Stanley / The Stanley Parable (2013) PC | RePack by R.G. Mechanics
The Parable of Stanley / The Stanley Parable is a parody of the vast majority of modern computer games, ridiculing the linear plot, lack of choice and clumsy mechanics. Initially, the project was released as a modification for Half Life, but over time The Stanley Parable turned into a full-fledged game.
Is it worth blindly following the plot?
The main character of the game named Stanley leads an ordinary and too banal life. He goes to an uninteresting job every day, the purpose of which is to press the buttons that appear on the monitor of the working computer.
On the next working day, the commands simply stopped coming, as a result of which Stanley was very puzzled. From this moment the gameplay of The Stanley Parable begins. All the player's actions will be commented on by an invisible announcer. He will tell you where to go and what to do in different situations. You will be able to decide for yourself whether to follow the advice of the narrator or completely ignore them.
The more the player acts on his own, the more clearly the invisible narrator will be perplexed and frankly angry. Finding most of the endings won't be much of a problem, but some of the most secret plot development options will be hidden very well.
Choosing a path for further passage, you can meet both frankly banal things and non-standard situations that clearly no one expects to see. The more strange your decision is, the more interesting the ending you will reach in the end. It will be possible to get to the most interesting moments only in frankly sophisticated ways.
What is good about the game:
- a huge number of endings and plot development options;
- a lot of humor, although sometimes very specific;
- the possibility of non-standard solut
