Thriving City: Song

Thriving City: Song is a well-researched urban planning simulation set in ancient China. The player is transported to the year 960 and becomes the ruler of a small town, which will witness the development and fall of the Song dynasty.

Unlike most video games of this genre, Thriving City: Song has not only a sandbox mode, which is called "Adventure" here, but a story format. In the first, according to tradition, is given absolute freedom of action in the development of his village and there will be no mandatory quests. 

In story mode, the player has to take numerous quests, which are given by the emperor. They are mandatory and move the story forward. It will unfold over several centuries, within which one can see the birth of the Song Dynasty, its development and power, and its downfall.
