Styx: Master of Shadows is a stealth computer video game created by the little–known French studio Cyanide Studio. It was this game that brought the young team popularity and gave impetus to the creation of a whole series.

Plot

The events unfold in a fictional fantasy world, where the classic races for the genre already live: elves, humans, orcs, goblins and others.

Interestingly, the main character is not another clever elf or human, but a goblin named Styx. It just so happens that the main character is the oldest representative of his kind and really wants to know the history of his origin.

The only chance to do this is to get into the Tower of Akeshan, where elves and humans guard the secrets of the magical World Tree. It is it that hides the secrets of the origin of the Styx and that is where our sneaky protagonist is heading. 

Gameplay

The gameplay of Styx: Master of Shadows is a well-designed stealth with the following features:

• the emphasis is solely on the hidden passage (our goblin is much weaker than his enemies, and therefore almost always in a losing situation);
• the player has a small right to choose how to pass this or that level;
• Styx can gain new abilities and skills that will help in passing;
• there are a lot of opportunities for passing: distracting the enemy, covert killing, using your own clone, unique ability to become invisible, etc.

In addition, by exploring the levels well, you can search for treasures, improve your equipment and solve dark secrets that will shed light on the history of the game world and characters.
