Aliens: Dark Descent

Aliens: Dark Descent is a strategy video game with action and RPG elements, the events of which are set in the Alien sci-fi universe.

Review

The storyline takes the gamer 20 years into the future after the events that were shown to fans in the movie "Alien 3". The action takes place on a planet where an outbreak of xenomorphs has begun. The incredibly aggressive organism has infected the entire station, where a ship with Marines, who are the main characters, crashed.

The task of the characters is to find the resources to repair the ship. To do so, they will have to fight numerous aliens as well as Wayland-Yutani agents who want to use xenomorphs in developing weapons and intend to cover up the traces of the incident by killing all the marines, because they are the only witnesses. 

Gameplay

Among the main gameplay chips of the sci-fi strategy game Aliens: Dark Descent is worth highlighting:

1. The virtual world around is constantly changing because of the player's actions.
2. Battles take place in real time and it is important for the gamer to learn to act quickly and think through his steps ahead.
3. It is possible to interact with the environment, such as brewing doors to buy time by setting up aliens.
4. Five character classes are presented - each has its own abilities, arsenal, gadgets and tactics.
5. In the course of the narrative it is allowed to upgrade the heroes, improving their combat efficiency and other parameters.
