GTA 3 - Definitive Edition is a re-release of the first 3D video game in the famous GTA series with significantly improved graphics and HD format. 

Review

All events take place in the fictional metropolis of Liberty City, where the protagonist named Claude attempts a bank robbery together with his girlfriend Clementine. At the most crucial moment, the woman betrays him and runs away with the money, and the hero is caught by the police. Fortunately, the character did not have to serve prison time, as the bus with the prisoners is attacked and Claude escapes.

After that he starts working for a large mafia family Leone and from an ordinary delivery boy he quickly becomes a prominent figure, which attracts the attention of the criminal's daughter - Maria. When her father, who is also the head of the mafia family, finds out about it, Claude is forced to run away and seek protection from the yakuza. For a while he works for the Japanese, and during one of the assignments he runs into Clementine, who collaborates with the Colombian drug cartel. She then kidnaps Maria and the protagonist intends to rescue the hostage and kill his ex for betrayal. 

Gameplay

In this re-release the developer made only visual changes - all the textures became more detailed and well-drawn, the models were slightly remade, including the characters, and there is support for HD-monitors with high resolution. But Rockstar kept the gameplay untouched, which boasts the following features:

1. Extensive freedom of action and movement, as the world map is completely open and seamless.
2. New York City was taken as the basis of the virtual world.
3. Lots of primary and secondary missions with good scenarios, lots of memorable characters and endless action, including chases, fights and shootouts. 
4. You can make mayhem on the streets of the metropolis, using an impressive variety of modern firearms and explosives.
5. Cars of all different models are constantly driving around the city and every one of them can be stolen.
6. Committing offenses in front of the police will force them to prosecute the protagonist.
