X4: Tides of Avarice is an endless sandbox in a sci-fi setting, where there is no plot and no specific objectives that the gamer must fulfill. He can act completely free and choose who he wants to become. There are a lot of variants - from an ordinary merchant to a space pirate and the owner of his own galactic empire. 

In the world of X4: Tides of Avarice there are a lot of factions and any of them can be temporarily joined to get patronage and get new tasks. The main goal of each is to become powerful and rich, and to do this you will have to learn how to trade, fight and rule. 

Gameplay

X4 includes the add-on Tides of Avarice, which greatly expands the original gameplay. For example, two completely new classes of ships are added - terrifying pirate battleship and extremely richly furnished yacht, which also boasts amazing speed.

Among the key gameplay features of the X4: Tides of Avarice simulator are:

1. A virtually endless virtual world that consists of dozens of galaxies.
2. All battles take place in real time, and the user can personally sit at the helm of a battleship.
3. Ability to build planetary stations and colonies, expanding their influence.
