DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods

DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods is the sequel to the original sci-fi shooter in which players must once again challenge the demonic forces and stop their invasion.

Review

Events unfold shortly after the finale of the original installment. The war against the demons is not over, as there remains a major portal that opens the way for the evil from hell. To finally win the war you must get to the central portal and close it, but to do so you will have to fight the most powerful demonic entities protecting it. 

Innovations

As it should be, new locations appeared in the addon, as well as new quests. It is also important to note the significant innovations in armor - there are unique sets and options to improve them. We should also note the armament - added chainsaw, super shotgun, flamethrower and hangman's crucible. 

Gameplay

In general, the gameplay of DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods is pretty much the same as the original and has the following features:

1. Weapons and armor are allowed to be upgraded.
2. The player can use special runes to enhance the combat characteristics - there are 9 of them in total, but only 3 of them can be activated simultaneously. 
3. Very bloody battle scenes - gamers can literally dismember their opponents.
4. After death you must begin the passage of the stage from the beginning, that obliges the user to act more intelligently. 
5. On the maps there are many caches with guns, enhancements, runes, armor - also they fall off the bodies of the killed enemies.
