NHL 2005 is a hockey simulator, the heir to one of the most famous games of this genre, released by Electronic Arts in 2004.

Description

Electronic Arts can really be called a giant, occupying a large part of the sports simulator market both today and ten to fifteen years ago. During this time, the company has managed to reach the heights of its skill, correcting its mistakes and adding functionality with each subsequent game. NHL 2005, although it was released almost 13 years ago, has already become a significant milestone for its genre – many mechanics that had not been previously encountered were introduced, and everything that had already been used before was brought to an extremely high level.

Compared to the previous part, the controls were significantly redesigned, several new game modes were introduced and the graphic component of the game was refined – now it is difficult to distinguish the virtuality saturated with various realistic animations, over-detailed models and hockey players with a unique appearance from some kind of TV broadcast on a sports channel.

Features:

1. There are several game modes, such as World Cup, in which you will have to lead your team to the top of hockey tournaments, Free4All, where there is only one goalkeeper and four strikers on the field, or Dynasty – a mode that allows the player to manage the affairs of his own club.
2. The game mechanics, which has undergone significant changes compared to the previous parts. The main innovation is the Open Ice mode, which allows you to control not only the hockey player who currently owns the puck, but also any other nearby. This opens up space for various tactical maneuvers and plans.
3. Realism, brought to such an extent that it is sometimes difficult to distinguish the image on the screen from the real one.

NHL 2005 is a sports simulator that deserves the highest rating, having many advantages over
