Everything begins at the moment when SpongeBob together with Patrick learn that the legendary Tears of the Mermaid really exist and if the stories are to be believed, they can grant any wish. The heroes not without difficulty find the relic and take it home.

As soon as they decide to use it in Bikini Boton, a portal to other worlds begins to open, which makes the whole real thing literally start to come apart at the seams. It turns out that the Mermaid's Footprints don't grant wishes, but hold back the veils between worlds. To bring everything back to normal, the friends must explore dozens of dimensions, find the scattered tears and put them back in place.

Gameplay

The main gameplay features of SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake are:
