Trainz: A New Era is a well-realized train driving simulator, which differs from other projects of this genre with a large variety of trains from different time eras.

Trainz: A New Era has no clear storyline, but instead, gamers are offered to go through scenarios and the actions of each unfolds in a particular time period of the 20th century. Thus, users can personally see how rail transport has changed throughout the century.

To many newcomers the simulator can seem a bit complicated and for them was specially designed a large training mode, which consists of 10 chapters. In these chapters the player can get acquainted with basic gameplay mechanics and get ready for more difficult tasks. 

Gameplay

Among the main gameplay features of the Trainz: A New Era simulator worth highlighting:

1. The ability to change the perspective to either in-cab or third-person view.
2. Dozens of unique trains, each with a unique appearance and set of tactical and technical characteristics.
3. Realistic mechanics of control, which involves tracking and controlling many parameters during the ride, such as fuel consumption, wheel pressure, speed, and so on.
4. As part of the passage, users will visit several countries, including the U.S., Britain and Australia.
5. Not bad visuals as for a simulator in 2015.
